The short answer
CamelCamelCamel and Keepa are price trackers built for Amazon. If you want the same thing for eBay (a listing's price history and an email when it drops to your price), Snagly does that, for free, with no browser extension.
Why Amazon price trackers don't work on eBay
Amazon has one product page per item, with Amazon or a handful of sellers competing on it. That's what makes a tool like CamelCamelCamel possible: one product, one price line, years of history.
eBay works differently. The same item is sold by many independent sellers, each with their own listing, price and condition. A useful eBay tracker has to follow the specific listing you'd actually buy, not a product in general. That's how Snagly is built.
What Snagly does
- Tracks a specific eBay listing. Paste the listing’s link from ebay.com and you’ll see its live title, photo and price straight away.
- Emails you at your target price. Set the price you’d actually pay. When the listing drops to it or below, you get one email, not one every time the price is checked.
- Keeps price history. Each tracked listing gets a chart and its lowest and highest price seen, starting from the day it was first tracked.
- Uses official eBay data. Prices come from eBay’s official API and are checked every 4 hours. Snagly never scrapes eBay’s pages.
- Needs no extension. Everything happens on the website.

Doesn't eBay's Watchlist already do this?
Watching an item adds it to your eBay Watchlist, and eBay may notify you about some changes. It doesn't let you set your own target price or show how the listing's price has moved over time. Many people use both.
Tips for tracking eBay prices
- Track the same item from two or three sellers. Listings sell out or end, so watching several gives you more chances at your price.
- Use the price history to tell a real drop from a listing that was marked up and then "discounted".
- Prefer Buy It Now listings. Auction prices move with bidding, so a target price doesn’t fit them well.
- Always confirm the price on eBay before buying. Snagly’s price is from its last check, which can be up to a few hours old.
